How to Take Your Measurements

  • For the most accurate results, have an experienced tailor measure you.
  • Remove thick/bulky clothing. Make sure it’s as light as possible.
  • If you plan to wear push up bra with the garment, wear that for the measurement.
  • Look for a tape measure with measurements in both inches and centimeters for more accuracy.
  • Important Reminders: Wear heels with correct height.
  • Don’t pull the tape too tight. Hold the measuring tape against your body but not too tightly.
  • If applicable, wear same girdle or waist trainer that you plan to wear during the actual event.
  • Hold the tape measure comfortably snug, but not tight (try a breath in and out to make sure). Then measure!
  • We highly recommend measuring a properly fitted garment and comparing those measurements to the ones you take.

Measure Yourself

A- Shoulder Width - Measure across the back from the corner of one shoulder to the corner of the other shoulder.

B - Bust - Measure around the fullest part of the bust. Measure all around the body (total circumference). Please ensure you are wearing undergarments when taking this measurement. Make sure tape is straight and does not sag at the back.

C - Waist - Measure around the natural waistline (the narrowest part of your waist and is usually 1 inch above belly button) Make sure the tape is even across front and back.

D - Hips - Measure around widest part of your hips (usually 7 inches below natural waist)

E - Biceps - Measure around the fullest part of the arm. This should be 4 inches above the inside of your elbow joint.

F - Armhole - Place measuring tape on tip of your shoulder and loop it under your armpit. Make sure the tape is sitting comfortably and not too tightly.

G - Sleeve Length - Measure from the top of the arm (the tip of the shoulder) to the wrist (find the bone at the side of the wrist). Do not measure with your arm straight. Instead, you should bend the arm then measure. If you wish to order: short, quarter length, or three quarter sleeve, please provide us with the measurement of where you would like the sleeve hemline to finish.

H - Wrist - Measure around your wrist where you would like the sleeve to end. Please take into account the watch and jewelry you will be wearing so the cuffs are not too narrow to accommodate them.

I - Full Length - Measure from high point shoulder to the desired length with shoes on. Please ensure you are standing straight when measuring.

J - Neckline Depth - Measure from base of the neck at shoulder diagonally to the center of the chest (the point where you want the neck opening to end).

K - Neck to Waist - Measure from the side base of your neck, at the top shoulder line, towards the waist level.
